Scrambling bridges the gap between walking and climbing. It is an excellent and spectacular way to reach a mountain summit or explore further away from the usual mountain paths. Scrambles range from easy but spectacular rocky walking to harder, steeper movement over rock that requires some climbing ability and occasionally the security of a rope. Follow the links below to find out about our great range of scrambling courses.
Designed for people with some hill walking experience, who are keen to tackle simple rocky sections of mountain routes. You need not be particularly fit nor agile to try scrambling, just keen to try this more exciting branch of mountain travel.
The Scrambler to Climber course 'does what it says on the tin'. It is aimed at scramblers looking to gain the knowledge and skills to allow them to more safely tackle scrambles and very easy rock climbs. Routes with short but serious sections, where basic climbing knowledge would add greatly to the safety of the scramblers.
