Our Mountain Leader Refresher courses are tailor made to help you brush up on some of the more difficult aspects of the assessment. Choose from Core Techniques, Navigation, Ropework or Leadership. Mountain Leader Refresher - Core TechniquesThis is a one day course which covers those areas of the syllabus which candidates often feel they need to work most on. Typically we would aim to include ropework, group management on steep ground and micro-navigation.This course would also benefit those who completed their Mountain Leader Assessment some time ago, who are looking to keep up to date. Or indeed, anyone who would like to find out more about the ML scheme, before deciding to complete the full training course. Previous experience required: ML Training or experienced mountain walker Navigation RefresherA one day course which covers the navigation aspects of the syllabus. This can be an afternoon and evening if candidates require further training in night navigation. Previous experience required: ML Training Ropework RefresherThis is a one day course looking at all aspects of ropework expected of Mountain Leaders. We will look at anchor selection, belaying and party management. Previous experience required: ML Training Leadership RefresherA course for candidates who want to improve their leadership abilities - an area commonly found to be lacking on Assessment Courses. We aim to cover a range of leadership strategies in a variety of terrain and situations in the mountains. Previous experience required: ML Training
