This one day course is intended as a 'bolt on' module to either the Outdoor First Aid or First Aid at Work course.  You will learn to deal with the added complications faced in Mountain Rescue situations including casualty extraction and advanced airway management,  working with Search and Rescue Helicopters/Local Teams and Dogs.

You will be introduced to Mountain Rescue equipment and advanced first aid equipment carried by expedition medics.  More time is spent looking at environmental medical issues that we introduced on the Outdoor First Aid Course including Hypo and Hyperthermia, Avalanche case studies, Trauma care and triage management.
