Outdoor First Aid

Run over two days this 16 hour, outdoor specific first aid course is recognised by all National Governing Bodies including the MLTE, BMG, MLTUK and the BCU to endorse their instructor qualifications.

The Mountain Sense Outdoor First Aid Course is delivered by Casualty Care qualified Mountain Rescue Team personnel who who are HSE Approved First Aid Trainers and who, more importantly, deal with real life medical emergencies on a regular basis. This enjoyable course is very practical and we aim to spend around half the course outside on mountain type terrain. The content will be delivered with the back ground of the participants in mind.

Our First Aid Trainers treat walkers, climbers, mountain bikers and canoeists up to 3 - 4 times per week - this experience will be passed on to you so the knowledge and skills you gain are relevant and realistic - not what has been just read from a book! As well as for all people who work in the outdoors, this course is ideal for anyone who ventures into wild and remote places that could lead to a prolonged delay in a casualty reaching definitive hospital care. On successful completion you will receive a First Aid Certificate valid for three years.
