If you are looking to gain BCU Star awards for either kayaking or canoeing, we can deliver coaching and assessments for the new 1,2 and 3 Star awards. Our friendly and expert instructors will demonstrate and explain each of the skills required to help you develop the techniques needed to pass the awards.

Having mastered the skills for paddling on flat water, often the next progression is to add the exhilaration of negotiating rivers. Our white water courses are designed to introduce paddlers with some experience of flat water to the delights of river journeys in either Kayak or Canoe.
The English Lake District is home to some of the best stretches of introductory white water in the country. The day will be spent paddling a section of river which allows you to gently progress through the essential techniques of river paddling. We will look at additional safety gear you should carry when paddling on white water.
